"DON QUIXOTE OF LA MANCHA. VISIONS"

The VENTA DEL QUIXOTE EXHIBITION HALL  will be inaugurated on the 22nd of November with the show «DON QUIXOTE OF LA MANCHA. VISIONS». From the first illustrations in the 17th century to the present day with the greatest interpretations by Dore, Decaris, Fragonard, Cocteau, Coypel, Schlotter, Blount, Hodgkin, Tonson, Goya, Dali or Picasso, among others great masters.

A space dedicated to contemporary art inspired by the figure of a «Universal Don Quixote». A fresh look at the Ingenious Gentleman and a consideration of original graphic work as a form of artistic expression and the different printing technique; from engraving (etching, aquatint, drypoint, burin or mezzotint) and lithography (stone printing) to digital printing of giclée. An iconographic journey through the most surprising interpretations of Don Quixote.

Samurai Don Quixote, a Japanese vision of Don Quixote, an encounter between Samurai warriors and Castilian gentlemen. Mestizo Don Quixote, the singular interpretation of five Cuban artists who fantasise abotut a Don Quixote written by Cervantes in America.

Don Quixote with a Bulgarian soul, a fascinating vision of Don Quixote by the brillian artist Valentin Kovatchev who renders homage to King Simeon of Bulgaria.
